Background:
The Fujian Grand Theater is located on one side of Wuyi Square in the center of Fuzhou city. It is part of the construction of the Fujian Provincial Citizen Project, including a 1472 seat theater, a 423 seat music hall and VIP room, dressing room, rehearsal hall, equipment room and other related supporting facilities.
The theater pool seat is approximately horseshoe shaped in plan and has two levels of seating. Use music reflectors and elevating music pools during music performances. The theater was completed and accepted in July 2009. After acoustic acceptance testing, all indicators met the design requirements. It has been used for major conferences and musical performances, and received positive feedback from all parties. The total number of seats in the auditorium of the Grand Theater is 1472, with a total indoor volume of 12200m3, and each seat has a volume of 8.2m3/seat. The highest distance from the audience ceiling to the ground is 15.5m, and the farthest visual distance from the pool seat to the stage is 32m.

Determination of Acoustic Indicators for Fujian Grand Theatre
The acoustic indicators of the theater auditorium are based on domestic and international experience, combined with national conditions, and determined through research and discussion by experts organized by the owner. The various indicators are:
(1) Reverberation time. Based on the various uses of Fujian Grand Theater, the final determination is that the reverberation time of the theater is (1.4 ± 0.1) seconds at the intermediate frequency (500Hz). Using a music reflector can increase the reverberation time in the hall by about 0.2 seconds. The high-frequency curve in the reverberation time frequency characteristics is flat, and the low-frequency is 1.2 times higher than the mid frequency.
(2) Uneven sound field. The unevenness of the sound field (Δ Lp) in the audience hall meets the requirement of Δ Lp ≤ 8dB within the frequency range of 125~4000Hz.
(3) Noise level. The background noise of the audience hall meets the NR20 index requirements.
acceptance test
The Fujian Grand Theatre underwent completion acceptance in July 2009, with acoustic acceptance testing indicators including reverberation time, sound field distribution, impulse response, and background noise measurement. The test results fully meet the design specifications.
